Even though I’ve taken photographs using point and shoot cameras and even with an old Canon Eos 35mm film camera, photography wasn’t a serious hobby or interest… to which things took a serious turn in the opposite direction around 12 years ago.
During this time, I was given a 35mm Film Camera with lenses by my father who previously owned it, primarily due to my growing interest in photography… at the same time I managed to acquire my first DSLR/Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera.
This began a journey as a hobbyist photographer, which i learnt to photograph in full manual mode which back then and today one of my big interests is Nature and Wildlife photography of which living on a plot was the perfecting practice grounds for this.
In my later years, I grew more serious about photography as a Profession and have done several courses through Udemy, especially when it was the cheapest option for me.

Yet Photography is not just my only talent and that i actually have an Information Technology background which Gareth Owen Photography is not the only business venture I’m involved in and so also run a boutique computer business – I love Computer
