So yes, I offer Boudoir and Nude Photography sessions… and even though most women, would prefer to work with a female photographer, my emphasis is on professionalism and creating images that meet the client’s needs, which how far a client would like to go is not up to the photographer to decide but the client instead – by default we try to keep things tasteful.
I also never do a Boudoir or Nude session alone with a female client and always have my assistant around to help me with clients, especially as I prefer to not have any physical contact with female clients.
The Pre-Shoot
A client being nervous about being photographed… especially by a male photographer, seldom results in a good photo shoot that I prefer to do what i can to help ease any nervousness by getting to know the client prior to pulling the camera out and shooting.
Professional Ethics
I operate around female clients with as much professionalism as possible to include…
- Posing instructions are done without any physical contact and any adjustments to poses or clients hair is handled by my female assistant and partner.
- The Photography or Videography of female clients be it while wearing lingerie, swimwear or nude is done with the aim of producing images that suit the clients needs or expectations which despite that by default I try producing images that are least tasteful, I have no qualms to bend the rules a bit and dip into a bit of erotica… however it’s not my call to make and is up to the client’s comfort and decision to make.
I also don’t offer boudoir or nude photography with intention of there being any sinister intentions… I also never have any physical contact with a female client and refuse to out of respect for not only the client but also my partner who will be assisting me during sessions.
During shoots clothing fixes, hair fixes and even makeup corrections are handled by my partner to provide as much comfort to our female clients as possible, including normal standard portrait shoots.
